Our Mission

"At Victory Village, our mission is to provide a supportive and structured environment for individuals in recovery, fostering personal growth, accountability, and a sense of community. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based practices, we empower residents to embrace change, rebuild their lives, and thrive in a healthy and substance-free lifestyle."

How does sober living work?

Our philosophy is straightforward: we provide a safe environment, and you provide the commitment. Living at Victory Village operates much like a standard lease agreement, but with one non-negotiable foundation—total sobriety. As a resident, you are required to remain completely clean and actively engage in a recovery program alongside your housemates. To protect the well-being and progress of the entire community, anyone who chooses to use alcohol or illicit substances will be asked to leave.

If you are ready to maintain your personal independence while enjoying the comfort of a supportive, mid-to-upscale living space, you will find a welcoming home here. Comprehensive rent is set at R7,000 per month, fully inclusive of all utility bills and daily meals, giving you the complete peace of mind to focus entirely on your continued healing and transition.

More About Victory Village

Victory Village is a dedicated sober living community established in 2020 when my wife, Lizette, and I purchased our property for this exact purpose. Featuring a spacious five-bedroom main house alongside four private cottages, our facility is nestled in a tranquil setting just 6km from Meyerton in Gauteng, conveniently situated between Alberton and Vereeniging.

Bridging the Gap

We created this space after witnessing how often individuals struggle with accountability immediately after leaving primary treatment. Serving as a supportive halfway house, Victory Village provides a vital stepping stone back into society. Research consistently shows that maintaining sobriety for the first 90 days post-treatment dramatically increases the likelihood of long-term recovery—and providing a safe, structured haven during that crucial window is exactly where we step in.

A Foundation of Fellowship and Support

We do not operate as a formal rehabilitation center. Instead, we offer a strictly substance-free living arrangement where every resident chooses to be here of their own free will. We are deeply blessed to have a local HEAL group within reach, and our community benefits greatly from attending their weekly meetings and sharing close, supportive relationships with their leadership and our home congregation at Bridge Church. Ultimately, we provide an environment that is fundamentally designed to foster personal accountability and long-term recovery.

Come as you are, but don't leave the same.
