Recovery Through Connection

Who We Are

Welcome to Victory Village, a voluntary, substance-free sober living community nestled just outside Meyerton, Gauteng. Founded in 2020 by a husband-and-wife team, our community—featuring a five-bedroom main house and four private cottages—was purposefully designed to bridge the gap between primary treatment and everyday life. Recognizing that the first 90 days post-treatment are critical for drastically improving long-term sobriety, we provide a safe, sober-living community environment, to support recovering individuals during this vulnerable transition. While we are not a rehabilitation facility, we offer a deeply supportive space conducive to lasting recovery, enriched by our close partnerships with local HEAL recovery groups and Bridge Church.

Who Is Freddy ?

After battling a 17-year cycle of severe addiction that ultimately left him homeless, Freddy found lasting transformation in 2017 through long-term treatment and a renewed foundation of faith. With the unwavering support of his family and his wife, Lizette, he dedicated himself to the hard work of recovery—rebuilding his life, restoring his marriage, and making amends through consistent, accountable actions. Today, as a proud father and a man of purpose, Freddy has turned his past struggles into a mission of hope. Together with Lizette, he has founded a sober living community in Walkers Fruit Farms, dedicating his life to providing a safe, supportive stepping stone for others transitioning from treatment back into everyday society.

Who Is Neo ?

Neo’s story is a powerful testament to the transformative power of community and resilience. After enduring a challenging, years-long battle with addiction that cost him his identity and home, Neo made a life-changing decision in 2020 to reclaim his future. Having successfully navigated his own difficult road to recovery, he found renewed purpose, accountability, and family here at Victory Village. Today, Neo dedicates his life to walking alongside other men on their recovery journeys, serving as living proof that no matter how far you have fallen, a new beginning is always within reach.

Get To Know The Team

Freddy and Lizette are supported by a dedicated team of professionals and peers who share their deeply personal vision for the  Victory Village sober community. The leadership team and house managers—many of whom have walked their own successful paths of recovery—provide round-the-clock mentorship, ensuring a structured, compassionate, and accountable environment for every resident. Fostering a true sense of family, the community’s chef prepares daily nourishing meals that bring everyone together around the dining table to connect and reflect. Meanwhile, the hardworking maintenance team keeps the serene grounds safe and beautiful, often working alongside residents to instill practical skills, routine, and a renewed sense of pride. Together, this diverse group of empathetic leaders, operational staff, and support personnel forms the backbone of the community, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with residents as they navigate their vital transition back into society.
